Congratulations for wanting to jumping on board with creating a mobile app for your event. You’re a forward thinker and you deserve glory and fame.

You no doubt want to build some customizations into The Conference App to make it your own. The simplest of these is changing the splash screen and adding your own CSS Stylesheet. The way to do this is to start your own add-on (or sibling) plugin that tells The Conference App plugin what you want to do. The Conference App has lots of hooks and filters that will allow you to do just about anything you want.

Here are some common things that people want to achieve:

• Change the Splash screen image
• Change the icon when the app gets saved to the homescreen
• Change colours or fonts or other CSS styling
• Add another page to the About screen

I’ve created a stub plugin to get you started on all of these. It’s simple PHP code and is commented so it should be easy to figure out what’s going on. To use it, simply download the plugin ZIP and add it to your WordPress installation by clicking Plugins > Add New > Upload from the Dashboard.
